What Are Anonymous Dupe Accounts?

Anonymous Dupe accounts are an alternative to traditional Dupe accounts linked to Steam.
They allow you to browse and purchase items directly from Dupe’s P2P marketplace without requiring a Steam account.

• Instead of Steam, you use your crypto wallet to sign up and interact with the marketplace.
• These accounts are designed for users who want a seamless, wallet-based experience.

Key Differences from Steam-Linked Dupe Accounts

Anonymous Dupe accounts function differently from regular Dupe accounts:

• Items you purchase are delivered to a Dupe-controlled Steam account, which temporarily custodies them for you.
• You can view and manage these custodied items through the Redemptions page.
• Currently, anonymous accounts support buying and withdrawing items only, but selling features are coming soon.

Purchasing Items

When using an anonymous Dupe account:

1. Browse the marketplace and select the item you want to purchase.
2. Pay with USDC using your crypto wallet.
3. The purchased item will be delivered to a Dupe Custodian Steam account.

You won’t need a personal Steam account at the time of purchase.

Managing Custodied Items

After purchasing, your items are held by Dupe until you choose to withdraw them.

• Go to the Redemptions page to see your actively custodied items.
• Each item remains available for withdrawal at any time.

Withdrawing Items

To withdraw an item from custody:

1. Provide a valid Steam trade URL.
2. Sign a transaction with your crypto wallet to confirm the request.
3. A custodial Steam account will deliver the item directly to you.

Items cannot be withdrawn unless they are signed with the wallet address used to purchase the item.

Roadmap: Selling With Anonymous Accounts

At present, anonymous Dupe accounts can only:

• Buy items
• Withdraw items

In the near future, Dupe will introduce the ability to list custodied items for sale, giving wallet-based users the same marketplace flexibility as Steam-linked accounts.
