A guide to automating your CS2 skin trading with Dupe's Market Maker module.
Dupe Market Maker lets you automate buying and selling CS2 skins. Instead of placing offers by hand, you set up a strategy once and Dupe handles the rest — creating buy offers, acquiring items from sellers, and relisting them for sale at a premium.
You earn profit on each trade. That profit is reinvested into your Market Maker balance automatically, so your capital grows over time without you moving funds around.
Setting up Market Maker takes just a few steps:
Market Maker offers two ways to build a strategy:
Your Market Maker Balance is a dedicated balance used only for Market Maker buy offers. When a seller sells into one of your offers, payment is taken from this balance.
Your Market Maker balance is completely separate from your regular Buy Offer balance — the two never mix.
You choose a price source when setting up your strategy. Dupe supports:
Your buy offer prices are calculated from the source you pick, adjusted by your spread. Dupe uses the lowest listed price for each item on the selected marketplace and refreshes pricing every 15 minutes.
These two settings control how you make money:
The difference between your spread and premium is your margin on each trade.
When Auto Relist is turned on, items you acquire through Market Maker are automatically listed for sale (after trade protection ends) at your chosen relist premium. No manual action needed.
If you prefer to sell items yourself or want to build up inventory on specific skins, you can turn Auto Relist off.
Auto Custody lets Dupe's Steam bots hold items your strategy buys. This keeps the entire process automated — items can be relisted and delivered to buyers without you accepting any trades.
Items held by Dupe appear on the marketplace as "Instantly Deliverable", meaning buyers receive their item immediately upon purchase.
You can turn Auto Custody on or off in your strategy settings.
When your strategy is active, Dupe creates buy offers for the items in your strategy. Those offers appear to sellers on the Sell page as the Instant Sell price — the highest available buy offer for each item.
When a seller chooses Instant Sell, they're selling directly into your offer. You get the item at your set price, and payment comes from your Market Maker balance.
In short, Instant Sell is what brings sellers to you. For the seller's perspective, see the Instant Sell guide.
You can save multiple strategies and have multiple active at the same time. You can also pause and resume strategies whenever you want.
Market Maker rewards you with Dupe Points based on how your strategy contributes to marketplace liquidity. Points are calculated and awarded weekly.
Here's what earns you more points:
You need at least one item in your strategy to earn any Market Making points. You can see a preview of your estimated points when creating or editing a strategy.
For full details, see the Dupe Points guide.
If a seller doesn't deliver an item or declines a trade, Dupe automatically refunds the amount back to your Market Maker balance. You don't lose funds on failed trades.
